Veńii báṋdhi krśńa d́ore
Madhuvane bháver ghore
Viińár táre cupisáre
Kena jváláo priitir shikhá

তোমার তরে মালা গাঁথা
তোমার পানে চেয়ে থাকা
কবরী ফুলে সাজানো
মনে মধু ভরে' রাখা

দিনের আলো তোমায় ডাকে
নিশার কালোর ফাঁকে ফাঁকে
কেমন এ ভাবনাকে
ভুলি যাহা মর্মে মাখা

বেণী বাঁধি কৃষ্ণ ডোরে
মধুবনে ভাবের ঘোরে
বীণার তারে চুপিসারে
কেন জ্বালাও প্রীতির শিখা

For You a garland is strung;
Watch is kept in Your direction.
Decked with blossom, the chignon;

The light of day calls to Thee
Through gaps between night's ebony.
This musing, by what means
I ignore what's smeared at core.

Braids I bind with black string[nb 2]
'Gainst fearsome thought in arbor sweet.
On lyre strings surreptitiously,

Currently, only the following audio rendition is available. However, at the beginning of the second line, the singer changes the first word from Tomár to Patha. This alteration is not supported by any published Bangla source, and there is no apparent necessity or benefit from this change.
