Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomári deoyá sure tomári bháśá bhare
He prabhu tava tare geye gechi gán
Ámár balite nei kichu ete
Tomári shaktite e tava avadán

Jabe kuhake bhule bhesechi moha jaŕe
Ahamikár ghore ámár mane kare
Tumii se kále tumi bujhiye dile
Nei ámár kichu karite avadhán

Diyecho phulahár priitira sambhár
Śoŕasha upácár viińáro jhauṋkár
Balile dekhe jáo bhitare tákáo
Cáo vá náhi cáo e karuńár dán

Just Your language filled with melody given by You only,
Hey Lord, on account of Thee, I have sung a song.
In it to claim as my own there is not a thing;
By only Your prowess is this, Your great action.

When bewitched, I've drifted, errantly attached to worldly,
Due to vanity's illusion within my psyche.
At that time only You, You provided clarity:
Nothing have I, any feat to perform.

You've given a floral wreath, a bundle of affection,
Sixteen articles of worship[nb 2] and a veena's hum.
You told: "Go on viewing, but look inside";
Want or not, this is Your gift of compassion.
