Tumi dhará dile
Ámár e hrdaye
Áshá bhare dile
Niráshár e nilaye

Já chilo áṋdháre dháká
Se halo álote mákhá
Tabe ekhano beṋdhecho kena
Sasiimeri paricaye

Já chilo pápŕi dháká
Se madhu priitite mákhá
Tabe ekhano kiisera vákii
Cetanári vinimaye

তুমি ধরা দিলে
আমার এ হৃদযে
আশা ভরে' দিলে
নিরাশার এ নিলযে

যা ছিলো আঁধারে ঢাকা
সে হলো আলোতে মাখা
তবে এখনো বেঁধেছো কেন
সসীমেরই পরিচযে

যা ছিলো পাপড়ি-ঢাকা
সে মধু প্রীতিতে মাখা
তবে এখনো কীসের বাকী
চেতনারই বিনিমযে

You let Yourself be held
Within this my heart;
You infused hope
Into despair's abode.

All that was once covered in darkness,
It's become glazed with effulgence;
So why have You still bound me
With finite identity?

What was once concealed by petals,
That nectar is smeared with love;
So what now still remains
In our consciousness exchange?
