Door of psyche opening,
He brought me for Your work.
Myself You fetched for Your deeds.

The pits and the heart are lost in one.
By rainfall the earth is flooded;
Amidst the heavenly fragrance,
Lost in just the One, heart's hoofprints.{{#tag:ref|Specifically, this would be the hoof-prints of a cow. The imagery is of a hoofprint holding liquid and that liquid reflecting the moon. The cow is a symbol of devotion to Krsna.|group="nb"}}

Plangent is the mind, with You abrim,
The sky and the underworld have merged together
Amid a fragrance delighting.
and with only one rhythm, all dance.

Vibrated and vanquished with one significance,
United in thought are hell and heavens,
all seek wee bit of Your grace, O Lord.
Everybody's dance with same cadence.
The sole-purpose necklace vibrated,
An iota of Your grace they beseech.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tál tamáliir vaner májhe
Ke go ele nava sáje
Maner duyár khule diye
Ánle ámáy tava káje

Varśańe plávita dhará
Hrd gośpad ekei hárá
Jhauṋkrta man tomáy bhará
Nandana surabhi májhe

Ákásh pátál bháve ekákár
Eki chande nrtya sabár
Ek dyotanár spandita hár
Tomár krpákańá jáce

In a grove of tal and tamal trees,[nb 2]
Oh Who came in new clothing?
Door of psyche opening,
Myself You fetched for Your deeds.

By rainfall the earth is flooded;
Lost in just the One, heart's hoofprints.[nb 3]
Plangent is the mind, with You abrim,
Amid a fragrance delighting.

United in thought are hell and heavens,
Everybody's dance with same cadence.
The sole-purpose necklace vibrated,
An iota of Your grace they beseech.

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
