Áṋdháre álor rekhá eṋkecho
Maru májhe práń bharecho

Jhaŕ jhápt́á kata ná eseche
Kálo kuheliká d́hákite ceyeche
Tabu tava dyuti amlán áche
Kálere háráye diyecho

Áro kata jug ásibe o jábe
Táráo káler gráse háráibe
Kata niiháriká adrshya habe
Sabi mana májhe rekhecho

রূপে রঙে ভরা এ ভুবনে
বারে বারে তুমি এসেছ
আঁধারে আলোর রেখা এঁকেছ
মরু মাঝে প্রাণ ভরেছ

ঝড়-ঝাপটা কত না এসেছে
কালো কুহেলিকা ঢাকিতে চেয়েছে
তবু তব দ্যুতি অম্লান আছে
কালেরে হারায়ে দিয়েছ

আরো কত যুগ আসিবে ও যাবে
তারাও কালের গ্রাসে হারাইবে
কত নীহারিকা অদৃশ্য হবে
