Tamasár májhe priitir pasará
Ene dile ke bá cakite

E nishiith jena báre báre áse
Maona manera madhurimá mishe
Surasaptake viińár parashe
Jhaḿkár tule nibhrte

এই বর্ষণস্নাত নিশীথে
ভরা কেতকীর রেণুতে
ছন্দে ছন্দে গন্ধে গন্ধে
মন ছোটে যেন কী পেতে

এ নিশীথে আছে করুণার ধারা
আবেশে আঁখির বিজড়িত তারা
তমসার মাঝে প্রীতির পসরা
এনে দিলে কে বা চকিতে

এ নিশীথ যেন বারে বারে আসে
মৌন মনের মধুরিমা মিশে'
সুরসপ্তকে বীণার পরশে
ঝংকার তুলে' নিভৃতে
