Life ceaselessly moves on.
Life does not pause, brothers;
We continuously dance towards that formless self.
We go on dancing toward the formless.
We did not come here to weep.
We have not come for weeping;
We came for rhythm and song.
We came to express rhythm and song.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Jiivant́á nay theme tháká bhái
Arúper páne nece cali
Káṋdibár tare ásini ámará
Chande o gáne kathá bali

Dúr niiháriká mahákáshe cale
Maner mańiká bháve laye dole
Dhulikańá seo cale pale pale
Trńer bukeo phot́e kali

Práńer ákúti cetanár dyúti
Sab nirásháke cale dali

Life does not pause, brothers;
We go on dancing toward the formless.
We have not come for weeping;
We came to express rhythm and song.

The remote nebulae move through emptiness,
And the mind swings like a pendant.
Even dustmotes move at splitsecond intervals,
And from dying grasses new shoots emerge.

By my urge to live and the radiance of my spirit,
I move on, trampling underfoot all pessimism.
