O Effulgent One,
With the sea of light in eastern sky,
reveal your form to me,
Effulgent One, You reveal Yourself.
in the ocean of light,
Mid the blaze of Your heart-flames,
in the eastern sky.
You speak with a sweet smile.

You are worshipped by the heart
The gates in Your courtyard are all unbarred;
and adored by clouds.
Your invite is extremely liberal and large.
You talk with a sweet smile.
Into collective mind and into everybody,
Invisibly, You exude a most exquisite beauty.

The door to your abode remains ever open,
In untold colors and forms, You manifest;
and your invitation to enter it
Your chariot never comes to a rest.
is liberal and immeasurable.
Veiled by liila, from all You are concealed;

And yet in every heart You sing.
You pour beauty into everyone's mind.
Yet, you remain unseen.

You exist in hundreds of forms and colours.
Your cart never stops its movement.
In your divine game
You keep yourself hidden from all.
And yet, you sing your songs
within everyone's heart.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Jyotir sáyare púva ambare
Jyotirmay he dekhá dáo
Práńer arcite jvaladarcite
Madhur hásite kathá kao

Tava auṋgane avárita dvár
Áhván tava ameya udár
Sabákár mane sabákár sane
Alakhete suśamá jharáo

Rauṋe rúpe shata bháve ácho tumi
Tava ratha kabhu náhi jáy thámi
Liiláy lukále sabár áŕále
Sabár hiyáy gán gáo

With the sea of light in eastern sky,
Effulgent One, You reveal Yourself.
Mid the blaze of Your heart-flames,
You speak with a sweet smile.

The gates in Your courtyard are all unbarred;
Your invite is extremely liberal and large.
Into collective mind and into everybody,
Invisibly, You exude a most exquisite beauty.

In untold colors and forms, You manifest;
Your chariot never comes to a rest.
Veiled by liila, from all You are concealed;
And yet in every heart You sing.
