And brought back articles of beauty.
And brought back articles of beauty.
You stirred up love-filled rumination,
You stirred up love-filled rumination,
And painted our eyes with collyrium.
And painted eyes with collyrium.

Extracting the essence of sandal,
Extracting the essence of sandal,
You gladdened the hearts of all.
You gladdened the hearts of all.
Spreading eyes wide with affection,
Casting eyes full of affection,
You gave a taste of ambrosia.
You gave the taste of ambrosia.

You steal our sins and bestow virtue.
Anything not good You've removed,
You pour forth the nectar of peace
And everything good You've endued.
through the blissful humming
With a sweet chant in the mind of bees,
of the black bees of mind.
You have strewn the nectar of peace.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Arupa ságare snán kariyácho
Rúpera pasará enecho
Bhálabásá bhará manana mathiyá
Aiṋjane áṋkhi eṋkecho

Candanasár cayana kariyá
Bhariyá diyecho sabákár hiyá
Mamatámadir áṋkhi prasáriyá
Amrter svád diyecho

Jáhá bhálo nay tá niye niyecho
Jáhá kichu bhálo táhá dániyácho
Madhupera mane madhura mantre
Shántira sudhá d́helecho

You took a dip in the formless sea,
And brought back articles of beauty.
You stirred up love-filled rumination,
And painted eyes with collyrium.

Extracting the essence of sandal,
You gladdened the hearts of all.
Casting eyes full of affection,
You gave the taste of ambrosia.

Anything not good You've removed,
And everything good You've endued.
With a sweet chant in the mind of bees,
You have strewn the nectar of peace.
