I know You do not desire me,
You don't require me, that I know;
Still for Your sake I count every moment.
But, for You, I count the time.
Your seat of honour is spread
Ready and waiting is a throne,
Should You happen to come by default.
If, by mistake, You do arrive.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

(Tumi) Ámáre cáo ná ihá jáni
(Tabu) Tomá lági pal guńi ámi
Pátá áche ásanakháni
Jadi bhul kare ese jáo tumi

Manod́ore gáṋthá áche málá
Cuyá candane madhu d́hálá
Arghye sájáno áche thálá
Jege áchi divasa jámii

Tomár guńer kathá satata smari go
Tomár gaorave garvita ámi go
Tomár carań tale sab kichu doba bale
Ásiyáchi patha páshe námi

You don't require me, that I know;
But, for You, I count the time.
Ready and waiting is a throne,
If, by mistake, You do arrive.

With strands of the mind a garland is strung
Giving off the sweet fragrance of sandal
A plate full of offerings for worship is decorated
Awake I remain days and nights

Oh Your virtuous deeds I remember countless times.
Oh in thy majesty I am glorified.
To place my all at thy lotus feet
I have come to descend beside thy path
I have come to descend beside thy path.
