Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ámi marme ceyechi tomáre
Rákhite cáhini báhire
Shudhu anunay shudhu e vinay
Bhuliyá theko ná dúre

Kuberer jata ratan peyechi
Jáciyá bujhiyá hatásh hayechi
Shreśt́a ratna tumi jániyáchi
Tháko ámáre bhare

Jata dekhiyáchi jata shuniyáchi
Sabi aliik bujhite perechi
Sáshru nayane jáciyá calechi
Karo karuńá more

O lord, i wanted to keep you
within the core of my heart
and never wanted to keep outside.
My only request, my only prayer
is that do not keep me away neglected.
All the gem and wealth of the god of wealth
that i got, on understanding the demand,
i have become disappointed.
now i know you to be best gem and wealth,
remain fulfilling me.
whatever i see or hear
all i could understand as false.
with tearful eyes, i just go on begging
that have mercy on me.
