Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tandrá jaŕimá chilo áṋkhira táráy
Andhakáre kichu dekhá náhi jáy
Tamasá utsáre shudhu tamasáy
Tomári áloke prabhu dekhechi tomáy

Gauṋgottarii dhárá cale ságarer páne
Shyámal suśamádhárá vakśe priitite ene
Phule phale sabáre bhare dey náce gáne
Alakár álokete se saritá jhalakáy

Maner madhur bháv se áloke jege jáy
Jata klánti bhránti palake háráy
Ańucetanár májhe tumi ácho phula sáje
Sabáre náciye calo sumadhura dyotanáy

The pupils of the eyes were inert with drowsiness;
nothing could be seen in darkness.
the darkness was emitting only darkness.
then by your light, o lord, i saw You.
the current of stream moves towards the ocean.
the green flow of beauty brought love in the heart.
Filling all with flowers and fruits,
through dances and songs that river
was showing heavenly brilliance.
the sweet feeling of the mind arises
with that illumination,
and all tiredness and delusion get lost in moment.
within unit consciousness,
You are present with floral adornment,
and made every one dance
with sweet figurative expression.
