Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ámár manane bháver bhuvane
Nám dhare more d́ekechile
Balle keṋdo ná eklá bhevo ná
Ámi áchi sáthe prati pale

E vishvamay keu eká nay
Práńe mishe áchi sakal samay
Maner gahane virale vijane
Khuṋjilei mor dekhá mele

Ájo shuni se d́áker pratidhvani
Kichutei táhá bhulite párini
Ghana tamasáy jyotsná nisháy
Tithi a-tithite kálákále

O lord, in my mind, world of feelings,
you had called me by my personal name.
you told, “do not cry, do not think yourself alone,
i am with you each moment.
in this sustained world, nobody is alone;
i am merged in their life all the time.
in the depth of the mind in seclusion and isolation,
you search me with open eyes”.
even today i hear the reverberation of that call,
and i am unable to forget that under any circumstances,
in intense darkness, or moonlit night,
in auspicious or inauspicious dates or good or bad times.
