Light, light everywhere.
Light, light, light of mine;
My world is filled with light.
By that light the world is filled.
Light streams in a hundred directions
My fount of light rushes in myriad streams,
in your eternal nectarial flow.
Exuding nectar, yes, exuding nectar.

Waters of gleaming light
Waters of gleaming light

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Álo álo álo ámár
Áloy bhuvan bhará
Álor jharńá shatadháre chot́e
Sudhá jhará ogo sudhá jhará

Tat́iniir jal álojhalamale
Ságarer páne se je nece cale
Úrmimáláy álokojjval
Ságarer jal bádháhárá
Bádháhárá ogo bádháhárá

Álor páshete bádala meghere
Dekhe náciteche manera mayúre
Nácer tálete jhaḿkár dite
Druta laye báje ektárá
Mor ek mane sádhá ektárá
Ektárá ogo ektárá

Light, light, light of mine;
By that light the world is filled.
My fount of light rushes in myriad streams,
Exuding nectar, yes, exuding nectar.

Waters of gleaming light
cascade towards the sea
and the glittering waves
of the surging sea
dance free from bondage.

Mind's peacock prances
at the gathering of dark clouds
in the shimmering light of the sky.

The onestringed ekatara
rings out
in rapid rhythm
keeping pace with a resonance divine,
and with such undivided mind
shall i realise
Your onelined melody.
