O lord,
Into my shrine You came;
You came to my home,
At this ill time, have You forgot the way?
untimely,
In maya's web with gold wires am I snared;
as if forgetting your path.
You dyed my life in some strange game.

What illusion did you create,
Today, heaven's song overflows sweetly;
weaving the web of ma'ya'
Into finite ears that ambrosia's pouring.
with golden threads!
With limitless into limited, so You are proclaimed;
Why are You disseminated in such way?

Today, the song of infinity
Today, a tuneful fragrance flies on a nameless airplane;
floats in honey.
With the rush of unknown ages, it continues to exhilarate.
It flows into the ears of limitations,
That same acquaintance, that same hearts' exchange,
calling forth their nectar.
It just takes place on the bank of the sea of shapes.

Why did you engender
a mutual acquaintance
between the limited and the unlimited?

Today, the fragrance of melody
rushes through an unnamed craft.
Its impulse, since ages unknown,
remains ever intoxicated.

This mutual knowing and hearing,
taking and giving of hearts
moves along the banks of the ocean of forms.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ámár ghare tumi ele
Ei abeláy path bhule
Sonár táre máyájále
E kon liiláy ráuṋále (tumi)

Áj asiimer gán madhute bhásiyá jáy
Siimára shrutite sudhá je d́háliyá dey
Asiime sasiime hena jánájáni
Kena bá chaŕáye dile (tumi)

Áj surera surabhi anámá vimáne dháy
Ajáná juger áveshe mátiyá jáy
Ei jánáshoná hiyá lená dená
Rúpsáyareri kúle (cale)

Into my shrine You came;
At this ill time, have You forgot the way?
In maya's web with gold wires am I snared;
You dyed my life in some strange game.

Today, heaven's song overflows sweetly;
Into finite ears that ambrosia's pouring.
With limitless into limited, so You are proclaimed;

Today, a tuneful fragrance flies on a nameless airplane;
With the rush of unknown ages, it continues to exhilarate.
That same acquaintance, that same hearts' exchange,
It just takes place on the bank of the sea of shapes.
