O beloved of my mind,
My beloved, where have You gone?
where have you gone?
Seeking Thee, I don't succeed.
I keep searching
By going off, You gave me pain;
yet cannot find you.
And never I forget that state.

You pained me by going far away.
I seek on river banks and mountain slopes;
This i can never forget.
In vain I comb the shadows of [[:wikipedia:Butea monosperma|palash]] groves.
Darling, please come home, come back to me;
Else I will die, weeping bitterly.

I searched for you
I am not lucky, nor am I deep;
in the flow of rivers
So ever and always I gaze toward Thee.
and upon hills and slopes.
I wore myself out by wandering
through shady pala'sh groves.

I kept calling you to come,
to come back home.
I almost died with grief.

Perhaps i was unfortunate –
did i not long for you enough?
I had no other wish
but to gaze at you.

Amar maner manus tui kotha geli is the 512th song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ámár maner mánuś tui kothá geli
Toke khuṋje khuṋje náhi pai go
Tui dúrke giye ámáy vyathá dili
Ámi ekathá kabhu bhuli nái go

Khuṋji joŕer dháre khuṋji d́ungrir páŕe
Mari van paláshiira cháye máthá khuṋŕe
Tui áy go áy, áy go áy, gharke phire
Ámi keṋde keṋde mare jái go

Mor náhi karam mor náhi maram
Tái sadá tor páne tákái go

My beloved, where have You gone?
Seeking Thee, I don't succeed.
By going off, You gave me pain;
And never I forget that state.

I seek on river banks and mountain slopes;
In vain I comb the shadows of palash groves.
Darling, please come home, come back to me;
Else I will die, weeping bitterly.

I am not lucky, nor am I deep;
So ever and always I gaze toward Thee.
