O lord,
You arrived, having crossed the shoreless sea,
how gracious have you been towards me
For my sake bestowing so much mercy,
that you came, crossing the infinite ocean.
Respecting all lowly creatures
And forgetting Your own lofty stature.


You honoured the meager living being,
Numerous ages have elapsed thenceforth,
by forgetting your highest throne.
And from the sky many a star was lost;
But calling to mind those rosy feet of Yours,
I've simply swum past every obstruction.


Yet, so many ages have since passed by,
Tempests have come to put out the lantern,
many a star from the sky was lost.
And comets wanted to burn the flower;
Remembering your pink feet,
Time's vicious teeth have been hankering
I move on, crossing all obstructions.
To devour all of my sweetness.
 
Storms come to extinguish my lamp,
meteors try to burn my flowers,
and the cruel teeth of time
want to eat away all my sweetness.

Tárpar kata jug jhare jáy
Nabhah hate kata tárá je háráy
Smariyá tomár o rátula páy
Calechinu bádhá santari (ámi)

Jhaiṋjhá eseche pradiip neváte
Ulká ceyeche phule jváláite
Káler karál dashan ceyeche
Grás karite mama mádhurii

অপার পয়োধি পার হয়ে এলে
মোর তরে কত কৃপা করি
তুচ্ছ জীবেরে সমাদর করি’
উচ্চাসনেরে বিস্মরি’ (তব)

তারপর কত যুগ ঝরে যায়
নভঃ হতে কত তারা যে হারায়
স্মরিয়া তোমার ও রাতুল পা’য়
