Kár surabhite e vivarttan
Bujheo bujhite pári ni

Ámár nahe tá jáni

চম্পকবনে হারায়ে ফেলেছি
আমার কবিতাখানি
সৌরভে হার মানি
ভিতরে না চাহি বাহিরে চলেছি
শুণি নি তোমার বাণী

যত ছিলো ব্যাথা মরমেতে গাঁথা
যত ছিলো কথা হারায়ে গেছে তা
কার সুরভিতে এ বিবর্ত্তন
বুঝেও বুঝিতে পারি নি

আমার কবিতা আমার গীতিকা
আমার নহে তা জানি

In the magnolia grove, I have lost
My poem therein.
I concede defeat to the aroma of the magnolia.
Instead of diving within, I am moving about externally.
I did not respect Your advice.

All pains embedded in the cave of my heart,
All unspoken words, have vanished.
Whose fragrance brought about this transformation.
I cannot understand

My poems, my songs—
I know they are not my own.
