Kár surabhite e vivarttan
Bujheo bujhite pári ni

চম্পক বনে হারায়ে ফেলেছি
আমার কবিতাখানি
সৌরভে হার মানি
ভিতরে না চাহি বাহিরে চলেছি
শুনি নি তোমার বাণী

যত ছিলো ব্যাথা মরমেতে গাঁথা
যত ছিলো কথা হারায়ে গেছে তা
কার সুরভিতে এ বিবর্ত্তন
বুঝেও বুঝিতে পারি নি

আমার কবিতা আমার গীতিকা
আমার নহে তা জানি

Mislaid in the magnolia grove was
My incomplete poem.
In that sweet fragrance, I confess defeat.
Wanting not the inner world, I went about outside—
I did not heed Your message.

All pains embedded in the cave of my heart,
All unspoken words, have vanished.
Whose fragrance brought about this transformation.
I cannot understand
