Latiká viśáde káṋpe
Kusuma shukáye geche mor
Parashe varaśá dáno
Mará gáuṋe ván áno
Jharańá jharáo ajhor

Shońa shońa mor kathá
Dio náko ár vyathá
Jáno náki vyathá báje buke
Kii kat́hin práń tava
Náhi kona anubhava
Káṋdáye hásicho mahá sukhe

Hale hiyá mor mata
Bujhite go kata shata
Kleshapáshe jiiverá kátar
Shata shata náo nati
Shriicarańe e vinati

দারুণ নিদাঘ তাপে
লতিকা বিষাদে কাঁপে
কুসুম শুকায়ে গেছে মোর
পরশে বরষা দানো
মরা গাঙে বান আনো
ঝরণা ঝরাও অঝোর

শোণ শোণ মোর কথা
দিও নাকো আর ব্যথা
জানো নাকি ব্যথা বাজে বুকে
কী কঠিন প্রাণ তব
নাহি কোন অনুভব
কাঁদায়ে হাসিছো মহা সুখে

হলে হিয়া মোর মত
বুঝিতে গো কত শত
ক্লেশপাশে জীবেরা কাতর
শত শত নাও নতি
শ্রীচরণে এ বিনতি
কৃপা করো ওগো চিতচোর

In the intense summer heat,
creepers trembling with affliction,
my flower dried up.

By a simple touch,
You gift rain
and bring about floods
into dried up streams.
You make fountains immensely overflow.

Listen to me, do not give any more pain!
Do not you know
what pain is resonating in my heart?

How harsh are you!
You are without feelings!
Making me cry,
You smile in great joy.

If you would have had a heart like mine,
You could have understood,
how much agony living beings suffer.

With a request
to bestow your grace upon me,
please accept my hundreds of salutations
directed all unto your feet!

O stealer of hearts!
