Today, at morn, autumn has come.
Today, at dawn, autumn has come.
Bathed in dew/frost, it has come.
Bathed in dew, it has come.
Why did it come, why did it come?
Why did it come, why did it come?
To adorn You with power it has come.
To help adorn You it has come.

It brings dahlias and chrysanthemums.
It brings dahlias and chrysanthemums
It laughs in the golden hulls of paddy.
And laughs in the golden hulls of paddy.

Bringing sweet pomelos,
Bringing sweet pomelos,

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Hemanta áji práte eseche
Shishire kariyá snán eseche
Se kena eseche se kena eseche
Tomáke sájábe bale eseche

D́áliyá chandramalliká eneche
Sonálii dháner shiiśe heseche

Bátábii nebur madhu eneche
Rauṋchonyá kamaláte heseche

Badarii phuler ghráń eneche
Rasa jhará kharjure heseche

Today, at dawn, autumn has come.
Bathed in dew, it has come.
Why did it come, why did it come?
To help adorn You it has come.

It brings dahlias and chrysanthemums
And laughs in the golden hulls of paddy.

Bringing sweet pomelos,
Smiling and giving a touch of orange color,

Bringing the perfume of plum flowers,
Smiling in the juicy dates, it has come.
