Kar tare tumi base base kanda is the 1072nd song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Kár tare tumi base base káṋda
Kár patha páne ceye theke
Ke se citacor tandrár ghor
Ásite dila ná tava cokhe

Mańipadmer koraker májhe
Káhár mádhurii smita mukhe ráje
Ke se anivár áshásambhár
Bhariyá diyáche tava buke

Kata kál ket́e geche ei bháve
Áro kata din e bhávei jábe
Kál gańanár tithi bhávivár
Kona rekhá nei tava mukhe

For whom are you sitting and crying?
For whom are you waiting, looking at the path?

Who is that stealer of mind
who has not allowed
deep drowsiness to come into your eyes?

On the nucleus of a precious lotus
whose sweetness excels and dominates?

Who is that whose unbarred volume of hope
has filled your heart?

How much time has passed by this way,
thinking thus,
and how long
will you continue ideating this way?

Still, on your face,
no trace of fatigue appears,
from all this waiting.
