Ogo prabhu tomar dekhi e kii liila is the 482nd song of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar's Prabhat Samgiita.[1]

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Ogo prabhu tomár dekhi e kii liilá
Liilár áŕále lukiye ácho ekelá

Dile ráter áṋdhár dile tárár melá
Dile cáṋder hási hiyá kare utalá

Dáruń nidághete dile dahan jválá
Dile belá juṋiyer suvás dile mála

Dile káṋt́á bhará kánan kaśt́e calá
Táte goláp phút́iye dile sakál belá

Tumi eklá kii kare karo eta khelá

Oh Lord, while we observe Your stunning game,
Behind that screen, alone, You lie in wait.

You gave the dark of night and a carnival of stars;
You gave the moon's smile that made hearts restive.

You gave severe summers, and You gave heat that burns;
You gave daytime jasmines[nb 2] and their fragrant garlands.

You offer a multifloral garland of glorious hues
and a garden full of thorns
where it's difficult to walk,
then you bring roses in the morn.

How do you play so many sports alone?

Notes

  1. ^ For details on the notation, see Roman Bengali transliteration.
  2. ^ Jasminum Molle is not only remarkable in that it blossoms during the day but also in that it blossoms most profusely during the hot summer months.
