Ráger mádhurii háráye phelechi Smrtit́uku niye beṋce áchi (tár) Surasaptake báṋdhiyá viińá Tava mukha páne ceye áchi (ámi) Je rág ráginii kańt́he phirita Tárá áj bahu dúre apaniita Sei mádakatá táháder resh Ájo náce gáne ámi bujhi Je chande mahákáshe jágáyecho Jár spandane plávita karecho Sei chande o sei spandane Tári hindole sadá náci	রাগের মাধুরী হারায়ে ফেলেছি স্মৃতিটুকু নিয়ে বেঁচে আছি (তার) সুরসপ্তকে বাঁধিয়া বীণা তব মুখ পানে চেয়ে আছি (আমি) যে রাগ-রাগিণী কণ্ঠে ফিরিত তারা আজ বহু দূরে অপনীত সেই মাদকতা তাহাদের রেশ আজও নাচে গানে আমি বুঝি যে ছন্দে মহাকাশে জাগায়েছো যার স্পন্দনে প্লাবিত করেছো সেই ছন্দে ও সেই স্পন্দনে তারই হিন্দোলে সদা নাচি	O Lord, I lost the sweetness of my tune. With its memory only, I today survive. Atuning my viin'a' to the musical octave, I await you. The tunes that were active in my throat have gone very far away. In my dance and song, I today realise the traces of that intoxication. In the rhythm you awakened in the sky, in the flood of its vibrations, in that same rhythm and vibration, in their swing, i too am swinging.
