Madhuvihiin phulgulite
Madhup kena jot́e ná
Vane kamal nái bá phut́uk
Mane kamal phot́e go
Phule madhup nái bá jut́uk
Citte madhup jot́e go
Hemanter ei karuń táne
Kánanbhará vyáthár gáne
Tár manane kintu kotháo
Kona vyáthái tháke ná
Gandhamadhu nái bá thákuk

শেষ হেমন্তে হিমেল হাওয়ায়
কমল কেন ফোটে না
মধুবিহীন ফুলগুলিতে
মধুপ কেন জোটে না
বনে কমল নাই বা ফুটুক
মনে কমল ফোটে গো
ফুলে মধুপ নাই বা জুটুক
চিত্তে মধুপ জোটে গো
হেমন্তের এই করুণ তানে
কাননভরা ব্যাথার গানে
তার মননে কিন্তু কোথাও
কোন ব্যাথাই থাকে না
গন্ধমধু নাই বা থাকুক
গন্ধমধু উদ্গীত হোক
তার আশিষে করব মোরা
নোতুন ধরা রচনা

In the frosty air at autumn's end,
Why do the lilies not blossom?
Around nectarless flowers,
Why do the bees not congregate?
In forests, lilies might not blossom;
But in the mind, the lotus blooms.
Around the flowers, bees might not congregate;
But in the mind, bees assemble.
In the melancholic melody of autumn,
The forest is filled with the song of sadness.
Yet, thinking of Him, no pain remains.
At the end of autumn,
In the frosty air,
Why does the lotus not bloom?
Though there is no sweet fragrance in the flower,
Let fragrance flow from our songs.
With His blessing, we will create a new world.
