At the end of winter, new leaves come;
At the end of winter, new leaves appear;
The old ones get shed.
The old ones get shed.
Spring has come to the door
Spring has come to the door
With the cadence of dance.
In the cadence of dance.

Prancing with plaits aplenty,
The detached braids drop down.

With loosened braids and disheveled hair.
At the end of winter, the bare trees burst into bloom.
At the end of winter, the bare trees burst into bloom.
"The snow will melt!"
"The snow will melt!"
With this hope, sprouts peep out with a smile.
With this hope, sprouts peep out with a smile.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Shiiter sheśete nava pátá áse
Puronorá jáy jhare
Vasanta elo dváre
Nrtyera tále tále

Nrtyera tále veńii upaciyá
Kabarii khasiyá paŕe

Shiiter sheśete apuśpataru
Kalite bhariyá paŕe

Tuśár galibe ei bharasáy
Ankur sab hásimukhe cáy
Pákhiirá kuláye tava gán gáy
Nava sáj sab pare

At the end of winter, new leaves appear;
The old ones get shed.
Spring has come to the door
In the cadence of dance.

Prancing with plaits aplenty,
The detached braids drop down.

At the end of winter, the bare trees burst into bloom.
"The snow will melt!"
With this hope, sprouts peep out with a smile.

In their nests, dressed in new garments,
The birds sing Your songs.
Freshly provisioned,
Spring has come to the door.
