Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tomári áshe rayechi base
Tomári padadhvani man mátáy
(Madhura hási tava) tomári saorabha
Hatásh hrdaye áshá jágáy

(Tomári phele ásá) carańadhúli pare
Vishvamánavatá ábhúmi nati kare
Tomári rauṋe rúpe tomári dhúpe diipe
Tomári práńiińatá trśá met́áy

(Ámio tomári go) tomári sakali to
Bujheo bhojhená tamasáhata citta
Tomári chande gáne tomári sure táne
Tomári bhálobásá sabe nácáy

Longing for You, I keep waiting;
Your footfall thrills my mind.
Your sweet smile, Your sweet smell,
Rouse hope in a dejected heart.

To your feet dust, human beings of this world bow down.
Your form and colour,
Your radiations of light and fragrance,
Your spiritedness, quench all thirst.

I am yours and so are all.
The inert mind does not understand this.
To your tunes, rhythm, melody and attraction
All are dancing.
