Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Tumi je ámár nayanera mańi
Áge cinite párini
Mor májhe chile more ghire chile
Tákiye dekhini

Jhaiṋjhá eseche jhápt́á eseche
Ati varśańe sab bhese geche
Tabu tumi kách cheŕe jáo niko
Sáthe chile divasa jáminii
Jánite párini

Anádare kśate pralep diyecho
Hatamáne hrta mán phiráyecho
Kona kichukei ghrńá karo niko
Avahelá kare dúre rákhoni
Mánite párini

O lord!
You are the gem of my eyes.
I did not recognised you earlier.
You were within as well as around me,
but i did not look at you.

The gust of winds and storms broke down,
my everything floated away in heavy rains.
Yet, you did not go away leaving me alone,
but continued staying with me day and night.
I was not aware of that.

You applied balm
on the wounds of those neglected.
You brought back honour
to those who lost it.

You never hated anyone nor anything.
And thought you did not talk to me,
You never left.
I could not accept this.
