My | My restless mind heeds no impediment;
It only wants to go toward Him. | It only wants to go toward Him...
Why | Why do I have this wish?
Earth's pollen and the chirps in a shady retreat,
Forsaken are even they, those my days of honey;
With all the sweetness | With them all combined, the sweetness of my psyche,
It still faints within Him only.
Whatever may be the history, all respect received
And any unvoiced wounds to my prestige;
Now, into one they all are melding...
Why do | Why do they race toward Him only?

This is how Sarkar himself described the meaning of the song—[4]
There are so many charms, so many objects of fascination on this earth; but the accumulated force of all these sweet worldly attractions is far less than the attraction for Paramapuruśa. Before this supreme attraction all other worldly attractions fade. The mind wants a closer affinity to Him; and no charms, no attractions, no fascinations of this mundane world can create any obstacles on the path. Now there remains the eternal question: Why is the cosmic attraction so powerful and irresistible? Why is the call of the Great so great?
