O Lord, right from the origin of life,
From the wellspring of existence;
the stream in which I continued to flow,
Buoyant had I been a-drifting.
You were present in that stream,
You've remained in that current;
but I could not see You.
But Yourself I'd not been viewing.
You were with me day and night,

ever awake, holding the lamp of effulgence
Ever with me You had been,
in Your hand during darkness
Day and night sleepless.
but I could not recognize You.
Light in hand in darkness;
Even today You are together with me
But Yourself I had not been knowing.
satiating my eyes with hundreds of forms,

ever dancing in vibrations,
You have accompanied even today;
but I am unable to observe You
On eyelids You assume a hundred shapes.
as I have kept my eyes closed.
Pulsating You dance always;
But I saw not, eyes I'd been veiling.
