O lord!
Age after age I've been calling;
Floating in tears,
I've been flooded with tears.
I have called you throughout the ages.
Yet, You did not grant embrace,
Oh, my Cynosure.

Yet still, o my pole star!
So many nights have passed me by;
You did not come into my fold.
So many stars have fallen from the sky.
So many days were filled with pain;
So many songs were lost.

How many nights have passed by?
What You do is for welfare;
How many stars set down?
With that hope I stay awake.
Recalling faults, I beg pardon;
Kindly rid me of my anguish.

How many days became filled with pain?
Lord, with You I'm in love;
How many songs lost?
Removing gloom, You keep me ever watchful.

Gracefully in my mental realm You dwell,
With the hope that whatever you do
In the lotus of consciousness that can be held.
is done for our good
I remain awake.

In remembering my faults,
I beg your pardon.
Shower your grace upon me!

O remover of agonies!
I love you!

Destroy the darkness
and keep me ever awake!

Manifest yourself in my mental arena
and reside in the lotus of my heart.
