Krsna says that According to one's inner desire one receives. A woman may want to adorn herself with jewelry and as a result get reborn as a peacock. Anandamurti then explains that the attainment of [[Parama Purusa]] depends on a person's desires and that in fact it is best not to ask for anything. Devotion can be divided into a few categories such as static, mutative, and sentient. Someone may be of a less selfish nature and only ask to be liberated in old age. As the desire was for liberation and not God, one does not attain Him. The highest type of devotion is called ''rágátmika bhakti''. In that case, the devotee only wants to give joy to the Lord, regardless of whether pleasure or pain is received in the process. Anandamurti goes on saying that consciously or unconsciously everyone moves along the same path. It is wise for human beings to reduce the radius between them and their Lord.<ref name="AV4"/> | |||
