O Lord,
Who are You that in my heart appeared,
who are you
Always gently smiling.
coming into my heart,
My assorted, blind attachments,
softly smiling?
You drenched with divine affection.
Your eyes full of love
And coated with sweetness divine,
Call to me time after time,
As You race toward the sky.

You merged into love
Nothing do You request,
my dark attachments.
And nothing do You take.
Should it come to gifts, You declare:
"If you want, then give yourself."

With eyes full of love
You don't reveal Yourself;
absorbed in heavenly sweetness,
When invited, You don't speak.
You call me repeatedly,
You say my identity,
and take me along towards infinity.
That You know; then You go and forget.

Neither do you want anything
nor do you take anything.

Whenever i want to give something,
You say: "give yourself".

But you do not give your identity
and when asked to,
You do not speak.

You say you know my identity,
but then, you forget it.
