Synopsis
Ánandáddhyeva khalvimáni bhútáni jáyante; Ánandena játáni jiivanti ánandaḿ prayantyabhisaḿvishanti. [Out of bliss all beings were born, in bliss they are living, and into bliss they will ultimately dissolve.] “They were created by the ánandam of Parama Puruśa, He wanted it. Just to give pleasure to Himself He created the whole world, so the very root of creation lies in ánandam.” Ánandena játáni jiivanti – “and living beings, they want to live here, remain in this world, because they want to get ánandam from this world.” And when a man thinks that he is not getting ánandam or he will not get ánandam, he commits suicide. Ánandaḿ prayantyabhisaḿvishanti – “and in the last hour and in the culminating point of human life, he wants peace in the sweet lap of ánandam [bliss] – Parama Puruśa.”.
Anandamurti starts the discourse by saying that Parama Purusa expresses Himself in endless ways and forms: insects, birds, natural phenomena, Human Beings and so much more. Out of bliss were all created and all seek to remain in eternal happiness. Anandamurti then says that the intellectuals try to grasp the infinite Lord with their limited brains while devotees surrender to God's omnipotence. The dialogue between the Lord and His children is affectionate and loving. Anandamurti goes on saying that the best thing to do when one has some free time is to gather with devotees and sing the name of the Lord (Kiirtan). Hari is another name for God - the one who steals the sins of His devotees.[1]
