O Lord,
Today, I happened on Thee
I found you today,
In fresh attire inside my psyche.
in my mind,
This mind of mine had been busy
with new adornments.
With various deeds and misdeeds.

My mind had been engaged
The path I moved along,
in numerous works
That path was tortuous,
and idling of various kinds.
Days and nights shrouded in darkness.
Drawn by Your affection I gazed in Your direction...
My chariot wheels, they still revolved;
But with Your call my dried-up riverbed was flooded.

The path on which i was moving
On the other side of darkness was the color black;
was serpentine like,
And after that was yet more black...
and, day and night,
My condition was completely black.
covered with darkness.
Then You arrived, bringing light;

And after light was light and still more light.
By the pull of your love,
Now anywhere I look, it only looks good...
I looked at you,
You've won my mind and filled my life with vigor;
and the wheels of my cart turned.
With Your love, my heart was lifted and made full.
My dry river became flooded.

Beyond light, there was darkness
and even more:
all around me pitch darkness prevailed.

You came in light,
in more and more light,
and, in whichever direction i looked,
only pleasant feelings overcame me.

You won my mind and filled my life.
With your love,
my heart became filled .
