O Lord,
With mindful introspection and resolve unflagging,
in an unbroken and continuous mind,
On the eastern skyline You appeared.
in ever alert meditation,
Sunbeams and a gentle breeze,
You bloomed in the eastern horizon.
Not even they were present on that morning;
On that morning only You were there.

On that dawn,
Heaven's nectar or just a speck of dust,
neither sunrays nor the soft breeze were there,
Fruit on plants or flowers' loveliness,
nothing yet existed.
Riverstreams or any form of sweetness...
On that dawn,
Nothing was upon earth's surface;
You alone existed.
So, with Your own hues, You did paint it.

There was no heavenly sweetness in the dust,
Unadorned was this Creation–
no beauty of trees,
Undressed in Your vision.
no creepers,
With lustrous golden decoration,
no fruits or flowers,
You have covered everything.
no streams to flow on the earth.
All that, later became drawn by your colour.

With pure eyes,
Attentive was Your austerity,
You decorated this unadorned creation
New moon's dense gloom cleaving.
with golden beautifications.
With sunbeams and a gentle breeze,

You've made the flowers bloom, swaying.
In intense austerity,
You removed the dense darkness,
and with sunrays and a soft breeze,
You made flowers bloom in a mere swing.
