Bhakti is defined as—[1]

Bhaktir Bhagavato sevá bhaktih prema svarúpinii;
Bhaktiránanda rupá ca bhakti bhaktasya jiivanam.

(Translation: Bhakti is service to God; bhakti is the form taken by divine love;
Bhakti is the embodiment of bliss; bhakti is the life of the devotee.]
