Bhakti refers to religious devotion in the form of active involvement of a devotee in worship of the divine. According to Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar, Bhakti is the service to Parama Purusa.[1]
Definition
Bhakti is defined as—[2]
Bhaktir Bhagavato sevá bhaktih prema svarúpinii;
Bhaktiránanda rupá ca bhakti bhaktasya jiivanam.
(Translation: Bhakti is service to God; bhakti is the form taken by divine love;
Bhakti is the embodiment of bliss; bhakti is the life of the devotee.]
