Note: This article does not include a detailed list of the musical compositions of Sarkar known as Prabhat Samgiita. Because of the musical element of Prabhat Samgiita, those compositions are treated as nonliterary works on Sarkarverse. For a list of the 5,018 songs given by Sarkar from 1982 to 1990, see List of songs of Prabhat Samgiita.
Typically, the works of Sarkar that deal with spiritual topics have been published under Sarkar's spiritual name, Shrii Shrii Anandamurti. The works of Sarkar that deal with more worldly matters have been published under Sarkar's worldly name, Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar (or P. R. Sarkar for short).

The topics covered in Sarkar's literary works are so many that it would be difficult to list them. They include spiritual practices, spiritual philosophy, social philosophy, socioeconomic theory, humanism, economics, politics, law, social justice, education, women's rights, parenting, medicine, farming, physics, chemistry, philology, grammar, and so on. Some of the topics are so novel, for example, microvita, that it is hard to categorize them.

Sarkar also wrote a number of children's books. Indeed, Sarkar was an accomplished story-teller, not just for children but also for adults. Sarkar's stories are scattered throughout his books. Perhaps the majority of the stories appear in his discourses on philology, mainly the Ananda Vacanamrtam and the Shabda Cayanika series. Sarkar's stories have been compiled into story books as well.

As Sarkar's literary works are so varied, it is natural that various books have also been published that are compilations of material on a specific topic, for example, Discourses on Tantra and Proutist Economics. On this page, the compilation books that republish earlier material are listed only when they are the original (first published) source for a discourse.

Notes:
* This list is only partial. There are many gaps in the list, and some of those gaps stretch over many months.
* This article does not include a detailed list of the musical compositions of Sarkar known as Prabhat Samgiita. Because of the musical element of Prabhat Samgiita, those compositions are treated as nonliterary works on Sarkarverse. For a list of the 5,018 songs given by Sarkar from 1982 to 1990, see List of songs of Prabhat Samgiita.
