Marriage Ceremony: Difference between revisions

Anandamurti-ji told, the marriage location and the marriage hall should be artistically designed keeping one’s economic condition in mind. If possible, the marriage premises should be kept vibrant with music. The [[Ananda Marga emblem]] should be placed in an elevated place in the marriage hall. Incense may be burnt at the time of the marriage. At least ten persons should be invited to be present during the marriage ceremony.

The bride and the bridegroom should be dressed in neat and appropriate clothing. They will enter the marriage hall and sit facing each other. The persons present should greet them by blowing the conch or by other auspicious sounds. After that collective [[Iishvara Prańidhána]] should be done, following the direction of an [[Acarya]]

Now, two Acarya/as will initiate and officiate the marriage ceremony. If Acarya/as are not avaliable, then only one Acarya/a can conduct the ceremony. If no Acarya/a is present during the ceremony, the senior-most [[Margii]] will officiate the ceremony.
