Anandamurti starts the discourse by saying that every person by birth engages in a struggle for physical existence. Later, when spiritual thirst is aroused, people start their spiritual quest to realize God. In this stage, they are called ''dvija'' (having a second birth). He then explains that in this second stage of development, people become engaged in action (''karma''). Benevolent action enhances spiritual development and progress. Anandamurti goes on saying that when one finally receives tantric initiation, eventually the goal of Supreme Consciousness is attained. The spiritual aspirant becomes ''bráhmana'' (one with God).<ref name="AV3"/>
