The first meaning of the word '' Tantra''  is liberation from the bondage of crudeness and dullness of mind. Anandamurti then explains that the the root verb "Tan" means to expand. The second meaning of '' Tantra''  is liberation through expansion. Thinking of [[Parama Purusa]] means thinking about the greatest entity - The Supreme Being. Such an ideation makes the mind broaden. Anandamurti goes on saying that expansion is the goal of human life and the means to release ourselves from bondage.
