Lyrics

Roman script Bengali script Translation

Candanaviithi kuyásáy d́háki
Bhorer áloke kálo kare
Ásiyácho tumi navatara bháve
Aparúp ek rúp dhare

Cená jáná path ándhárete d́heke
Sakal mádhurii lukáiyá rekhe
Ásiyáche shiit yugántarer
Vedaná vahan kare

Tamasár parapáre
Ravir rashmi thamakiyá tháke
Shudhu kśańeker tare
Álor devatá ánkhi mele cáy
Kálo kuheliká asiime miláy
Shiit áse tái alo bháse bhái
Áro áro bhálo kare

Covering the sandalwood lane with mist
And darkening the light of dawn,
You have come with a new expression,
Assuming such a wondrous form.

Covering familiar paths in darkness,
Concealing all sweetness,
The winter season has come,
Bearing the pains of countless ages,
Assuming such wondrous form!

Beyond the veil of deepest darkness,
The rays of light are suddenly suspended.
But only for a single moment,
Then the Lord of Light opens His eyes
And the black fog dissolves into limitlessness.
After winter, light will flow more beautifully than before.
