Gán geye jái tomáre tuśite
Dagdha hiyáya juŕáiyá nite

Jáhá chilo káche áj cale geche
Sei shelághát bhúliyá jáite

Jáhá chilo mor niyeche kálacor
Háránori vyathá áj pásharite
Sauṋgiiter sure nayanera niire
Je kśat chilo bhare táháke muchite

Ámár shiratáj khase geche áj
Cheŕechi saba sáj vedaná vahite

গান গেয়ে যাই তোমারে তুষিতে
দগ্ধ হিয়ায় জুড়াইয়া নিতে

যাহা ছিলো কাছে আজ চলে গেছে
সেই ছেলাঘাত ভুলিয়া যাইতে

যাহা ছিলো মোর নিয়েছে কালচোর
হারানোরই ব্যথা আজ পাশরিতে
সঙ্গীতের সুরে নয়নের নীরে
যে ক্ষত ছিলো ভরে তাহাকে মুছিতে

আমার শিরতাজ খসে গেছে আজ
ছেড়েছি সব সাজ বেদনা বহিতে

I sing
to please you lord
and to heal
my wounded heart.

I have lost all,
O fatal blow,
so i sing away my grief.

The supreme thief
has stolen all.
I sing
to forget my loss.

With song
I obliterate
the wounds
the tears of sorrow.

My crown has fallen
and i, divest of all grandeur,
endure the pain.
