In supplication of You.

The sky is full of countless stars.
The sky is filled with stars.
The air is gentle and light and sweet.
There is a sweet and gentle breeze.
The river is flowing in all directions.
The river is flooded, a deluge
With offerings of harvest we remember You.
Streaming in a hundred directions.

Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Hemanteri dháner gandhe
Navánna din mane paŕe
Navánneri naevedya
Tomáy smarań kare

Táráy táráy bhará ákásh
Mandamadhur hálká vátás
Bhará nadii plávan hárá
Baiche shata dháre

Antariikśe jale sthale
Sab kichu áj jhalamale
Sabár mukhei miśt́i hási
Khushir mukut́ pare

With the smell of rice at end of autumn,
I remember the harvest festival day.
The crop was offered with devotion,
In supplication of You.

The sky is filled with stars.
There is a sweet and gentle breeze.
The river is flooded, a deluge
Streaming in a hundred directions.

In space and water and land
Everything is glistening today.
On every face, a smile of sweetness.
On every head, a crown of joy.
