Jhaiṋjhá jhat́iká sáthe varśámukhara ráte
Tumi esechile krpá kare
Nirjana vanapathe niirave nibhrte
Carańa phelechile mor tare

Jhalasi bijali sane dáminii damaka svane
Tabu ese basechile hiyár siḿhásane
Bádháte drkpát ná kare
Ele priiti bhare

Ákásh bháuṋgiyá ajhore vári jharechila
Cikkancúŕá sikta haye giyechila
Áṋkhipallava tava jale d́háká paŕechila
Táte bhrúkśep ná kare ele rúpádháre

ঝঞ্ঝা-ঝটিকা সাথে বর্ষামুখর রাতে
তুমি এসেছিলে কৃপা করে’
নির্জন বনপথে নীরবে নিভৃতে
চরণ ফেলেছিলে মোর তরে

ঝলসি’ বিজলি সনে দামিনী দমক স্বনে
তবু এসে’ বসেছিলে হিয়ার সিংহাসনে
বাধাতে দৃক্‌পাত না করে’
এলে প্রীতি ভরে’

আকাশ ভাঙ্গিয়া অঝোরে বারি ঝরেছিল
চিক্কনচূড়া সিক্ত হয়ে গিয়েছিল
আঁখিপল্লব তব জলে ঢাকা পড়েছিল
তাতে ভ্রূক্ষেপ না করে’ এলে রূপাধারে

O lord,
By your grace.
You came in the night,
in the midst of
storms, typhoons and heavy rains.

On a secluded forest path,
alone and in silence,
You stepped forth to me.

You came
during roars of thunder and burning lights,
and sat on the throne of my heart.

Without bothering for obstructions,
You advanced full of love.

It rained heavily
and your head was wet,
Your eye lids were covered with water.

Unassailed by it all,
You came to show your form.
