Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

Keká kalarava mukharita práte
Ke go ele núpura páy
Shata viińánandita madhura nikkańe
Jalader chat́á mekhe gáy

Tálii tamálerá áj nava rúpe sejeche
Niipanikuiṋja suváse heseche
Snigdha samiirańa ketakiiparága mákhi
Dúr niilimáy bhese jáy

Dardurerá áj ánande meteche
Juthikárá tár sane kii jena kii kahiche
Salája káminii phúl sugandha chaŕáye
Kár páne báre báre cáy

At dawn, peacock calls and bird chirps resounding,
Who are You who came with anklets on Your feet?
Jingling more sweetly than a hundred lyres,
The splendor of clouds swathed Your body.

Today the palm trees have dressed in new garments.
The bower of fragrant kadamba trees smiles.
A gentle breeze spreads the pollen of screw-pine flowers,
Drifting toward the distant, azure sky.

Today the frogs croak in joy,
And the jasmine flowers whisper their secrets.
Meanwhile, the blushing kaminii flowers shed their fragrance,
Glancing at You again and again.
