Lyrics

Roman script[nb 1] Bengali script Translation

(Kon) Bhule jáoyá bhore
Madhumákhá svare
D́ekechile more ogo devatá

Jaŕete badhir práńe asthir
Shuńini se d́ák tava váratá

D́ekechile more ákáshe vátáse
Saritár sure phulera suváse
Shishur suháse taruńer ucchváse
Dharańiir rúpe bhará mádakatá

Geye jáo tumi mamatár váńii
Sabákár lági ogo vidhátá

O Lord, on which forgotten morning,
with a sweet impregnated voice,
did You call me?

Due to inertial deafness and a restless mind,
I could not hear that message.

You called me through sky and wind,
through the murmuring of the stream,
through the fragrance of the flower,
through the smile of the infant,
through the laughter of the youth
and through the enchanting beauty of the earth.

Continue singing Your affectionate words to all, O Lord.
