Ákásh káṋdiyá bale tárára málá
Dhariyá rekhechi buke tava tare
Dáo álo báso bhálo tumi sabáre
Kao kathá káne káne cupisáre

Ekak puruś tumi mahájagate
Sakalei tái cáy tomáke pete
Duhkha bhulite cáy mishe tomáte
Udvel hiyá bháse áṋkhiniire

Kál parimáp bodh neiko ámár
Tumi ácho ámi áchi cira ápanár
Jániná kabe shuru e caoyá ámár
Shránti klántihiin abhisáre

আকাশ কাঁদিয়া বলে তারার মালা
ধরিয়া রেখেছি বুকে তব তরে
দাও আলো বাস ভালো তুমি সবারে
কও কথা কানে কানে চুপিসারে

একক পুরুষ তুমি মহাজগতে
সকলেই তাই চায় তোমাকে পেতে
দুঃখ ভুলিতে চায় মিশে' তোমাতে
উদ্বেল হিয়া ভাসে আঁখিনীরে

কাল পরিমাপ বোধ নেইকো আমার
তুমি আছ আমি আছি চির-আপনার
জনিনা কবে শুরু এ চাওয়া আমার
শ্রান্তি-ক্লান্তিহীন অভিসারে

"A garland of stars," declares the weeping sky,
"For Your sake, in my breast I have kept holding.
The light You provide, You cherish everybody;
Privately, You whisper into every ear.

"In the cosmos, You are the Soul unique;
So Yourself, one and all yearn to receive.
Sorrow to forget, they would blend with Thee;
A heart swollen floats upon eye's tears.

"I have not the knowledge of measuring time;
You and I exist, ever You belong to me and I am Thine.
I don't know when it began, this desire of mine
For a lovers' tryst, free from tiredness and fatigue."
