Tandrá jakhan cokhe neve elo Takhan mane áṋdhár chilo Shatadháre baoyá jiivan saritá Kothá jábe náhi bujhechilo Joyárer jal bháve ucchal Jaŕákarśańe chilo caiṋcal Cáṋder mádhurii ákáshe ná heri Cáṋderi vimve metechilo Bháṋt́á elo pare jiivana joyáre Ujáner jal gelo dúre sare Sámarthya nái sedike tákái Je vidhu nikat́e t́enechilo	তন্দ্রা যখন চোখে নেবে' এলো তখন মনে আঁধার ছিলো শতধারে বওয়া জীবন-সরিতা কোথা' যাবে নাহি বুঝেছিলো জোয়ারের জল ভাবে উচ্ছল জড়াকর্ষণে ছিলো চঞ্চল চাঁদের মাধুরী আকাশে না হেরি চাঁদেরই বিম্বে মেতেছিলো ভাঁটা এলো পরে জীবন-জোয়ারে উজানের জল গেলো দূরে সরে সামর্থ্য নাই সেদিকে তাকাই যে বিধু নিকটে টেনেছিলো	When drowsiness came down over the eyes, then the mind was in darkness. Flowing into hundreds of currents, where the stream of life was going, I could not understand. The water during the tide was overflowing with feelings, restless with the attraction of materials. I did not seek the sweetness of moonlight in the sky, the moon that intoxicated the world. Then flow of low tide came into tide of life, The over flown water receded back far. I have no capacity to look towards that side, the moon that attracted close.
